Del Mar district campuses full, some students may be transferred

It's been a busy summer in the Del Mar Union School District with more than 240 new students coming into the district and leaving at least two campuses filled to capacity. The full classrooms mean involuntary transfers for 20 students.
One of those "left out families" included Frank Montes' sixth grade son. Montes had brought his son to Sage Canyon from private school last year and his wife was just accepted into the school's PTA. Per the district's policy, priority is given to students who have been attending the school for two years and his son was moved to Ocean Air School.
