Friends, family and patrons gathered at Pacifica Del Mar's 20th anniversary celebration on Oct. 27 to toast the next 20 years. One of the original tenants of Del Mar Plaza, Pacifica Del Mar is noted throughout San Diego for its sunset views and California coastal cuisine with a fresh fish emphasis.
In a thank you to the community, proprietor Kipp Downing gave a shout-out to his venerable staff, and credited managing partner Jay Hendrick and Executive Chef Chris Idso with keeping the restaurant viable and interesting, along with bar manager Charlie McLauglin and one of the original waiters, Scott Williams. Proceeds from the evening's raffle will benefit the Del Mar Lifeguard Association.
